NSW:Rash of measles concerns authorities

- Measles can be deadly in less developed countries. It is thought there have been
no deaths from the disease in NSW since the 1980s.
- Most deaths from measles occur due to complications.
- The first symptoms are fever, tiredness, cough, runny nose, sore red eyes and feeling
unwell. A few days later a rash appears. The rash starts on the face, spreads down to
the body and lasts for four to seven days.
