NSW: Land clearing, salinity the biggest threats: report

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - Land clearing, urbanisation and salinity have been identified
as the major threats to the environmental health of New South Wales in a report released
today.

The NSW State of the Environment report, compiled by the Environment Protection Authority
and released by Environment Minister Bob Debus, aims to provide a three-year snapshot
of the state's environmental health.

It found many river systems were showing signs of ecological stress as a result of urbanisation.
